The official website of animation studio Production I.G has announced on Friday that Masamune Shirow's Koukaku Kidoutai: The Ghost in the Shell (The Ghost in the Shell) manga will receive a new anime adaptation. Director Kenji Kamiyama (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex) and Shinji Aramaki (Appleseed Alpha) will co-direct the anime.
